Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Board of the German Society for Immunology (DGfI) we are pleased to invite you to participate in our 44^th Annual Meeting from 17–20 September, 2014, to be held in the federal city (“Bundesstadt”) of Bonn, the former capital of Germany. Bonn still hosts a large portion of Germany’s political ministries and many research institutions including the German Research Council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) and the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).

Immunology has become one of the most vibrant research topics in Bonn, as highlighted by the recently granted DFG Cluster of Excellence “ImmunoSensation”. The 44^th DGfI Meeting will gather a national and international delegation of renowned scientists, students and professionals from academia, industry and government organisations to present and discuss current topics of basic and translational immunological research in plenary sessions, symposia and workshops. We encourage you to submit your abstract related to the conference topics listed below. The submission will open in spring 2014.

The conference will be held at the World Conference Center in the quarter of the former German Government (“Regierungsviertel”) which accommodates former facilities of the German Government, including the “Bundestag”, “Wasserwerk”, “Kanzleramt”, all beautifully situated on the river Rhine providing the perfect frame for an unforgettable event.
