We are very proud to welcome you to Liverpool for EuroSpine 2013. This is the second time the meeting will be held in the United Kingdom, with a very early meeting of the original European Spine Society having been held 1992 in Cambridge. Liverpool is a city steeped in history with a rich cultural heritage. It is a thriving, stylish, cosmopolitan and vibrant place, renowned for its strong maritime history, as well as its passion for music, the arts, culture and sport. Liverpool was European Capital of Culture in 2008 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Liverpool City Region has an unbeatable variety of world class museums, galleries and theatres, as well as stunning architecture and a spectacular waterfront. As birthplace of the “Fab Four”, it has found a permanent place in musical history.
EuroSpine 2013 is the ideal occasion for all spinal health professionals to come together. With the experience gained from several successful EuroSpine congresses as well as the feedback provided by a continuously growing number of participants, we hope to set up a wide-ranging and versatile programme of degenerative, tumour and traumatic spinal pathologies, which will give us the chance to reflect on the latest spinal research and innovation. Our venue is the world class, award-winning Arena and Convention Centre (ACC Liverpool), situated on the city’s waterfront, adjacent to Albert Dock. ACC Liverpool was launched in 2008 and has hosted many high-profile events, concerts and conferences, including the MTV Europe Music Awards and the BBC Sports Personality of The Year Awards. Liverpool itself is served by two international airports and is just over 2 hours away by train from London.
