Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the program committee, we cordially invite you to join the
“5th International Conference on Non-invasive Brain Stimulation“ that will take place from March 19-21, 2013 in Leipzig.
After the success of the first three meetings in Goettingen and the fourth meeting in Rome, we are happy to mark the 15th anniversary of this meeting in Leipzig. It will be held as a companion meeting to the 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Clinical Neurophysiology.
We are looking forward to your participation and active contribution at a time when non-invasive brain stimulation is further expanding.
Within the past few decades, non-invasive brain stimulation techniques have proven their potential to modulate brain activity in both healthy subjects and patients with neurological or psychiatric diseases. Recent multimodal approaches combining non-invasive brain stimulation with neuroimaging methods have greatly stimulated research in the field of neuroimaging and provided novel insights into the functional relevance and plasticity of brain networks. The way forward is to merge knowledge from basic neurophysiological science with clinical demands to further advance the field.
Leipzig is a city not only of science and trade, but also of culture - home of Johann Sebastian Bach and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, to name only two of the most eminent figures - and of historical importance - the Monday demonstrations which started out in 1989 along Leipzig's inner Ring Road were instrumental in paving the way to the peaceful reunification of Germany.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Leipzig and to a most productive advance in the field.
